ShockWatch MAG2000

The ShockWatch MAG 2000 Impact Date/Timer, similar to the MAG 2000, this device monitors the shipping and handling of fragile goods and freight containers over 50kg. When an impact occurs, the device also records the date and time the impact occurred.

The MAG 2000 utilizes two highly sensitive magnets triggered when a shock or vibration is strong enough to disrupt the magnetic attraction. This causes the upper magnet to move from its home position to the out edge of the unit causing the clock/calendar to stop showing clearly the date and time of Impact.

A special key is supplied to unlock the cover on the unit. This allows the product to be reset after activation, and prevents tampering.

The activation point is factory set, with 10 standard activation values; 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G, 7G, 10G, 11G, 16G, and 20G. Special values are available for custom order.

Low Fragility Zone — Applicable in situations in which both visible and hidden damage is possible, and a single extreme impact will cause damage to product. Pertains to products transported via a variety of modes.

Average Fragility Zone — Applicable in situations in which there is a moderate degree of stability and survivability built into the product, and in which a standard mode of transportation is used.

High Fragility Zone — Applicable in situations in which hidden damage is the key concern. Typically, these products will be constructed of low tolerance components such as data storage drives, optical lenses, or any other products that require precise alignment. Pertains to most products that require specialized modes of transportation, such as air-ride vans or extended travel in hydro-cushion railcars.
