ShockLog RD404

The RD404 ShockLog Tilt & Roll accelerometer extends the monitoring capabilities of the ShockLog family of products beyond impact and vibration to include tilt & sway.

This extended capability completes the ShockLog ability to monitor and measure the entire physical environment during a journey or storage period, ensuring you see exactly what your goods & equipment have been through.

Operated along side the RD298 ShockLog
The RD404 Tilt and Roll accelerometer connects directly into the RD298 ShockLog via an RS232 cable. The RD404 is fitted with its own power supply but utilises the RD298’s memory to store all of its captured data.

Sat along side the RD298 ShockLog the RD404 provides users with exceptional monitoring capabilities extending from the standard impact and vibration to the monitoring of Tilt and Roll. In addition the RD404 can be used in conjunction with the RD299 HPT (humidity, pressure and temperature) sensor, giving users a complete environmental profile of the journey or storage period.

The ShockLog software has been modified to include two additional time slot graphs in order to provide a graphical representation of the activity recorded by the RD404 Accelerometer.

The additional graphs show the Tilt (front to back) and Roll (left to right) movement of the unit and are represented as degrees of movement.

To ensure maximum resolution the data is recorded in quadrants and displayed in a range of ±90°.
