OVERVIEW: Designed for use in the monitoring of critical goods and equipment that need special care and handling during transportation, storage and use. Shock, vibrations, and unacceptable environmental conditions can cause costly damage. Identifying responsibility for these unacceptable conditions is the first step in deterring damage and downtime in the future.
The Lamerholm ShockLog range of impact & environmental recorders provide ongoing monitoring of the intensity and duration of shock and vibration to large stationary or moving equipment, structures, and products. Tri-axial piezo-electric accelerometer technology is used to record impact direction, amplitude, and duration. Optional sensors can be added to record changes in temperature, humidity & atmospheric pressure as well as Tilt & Roll parameters.
To complete this comprehensive solution the ShockLog range are offered with a comprehensive Windows-based software program that allows you to program your own warning & alarm thresholds, set the frequency of data collection and specify the actual parameters to be recorded. When a pre-programmed impact level is exceeded, data will be stored for future downloading & analysis generating reports and various graphical charts.

RD298 - this is the prominent and most widely used device in the ShockLog range. It is used by hundreds of companies throughout the world to safeguard products as diverse as oil drilling rigs, aerospace products, power generation equipment, medical instrumentation and classic artwork. With the ability to record up to 400 detailed events as well as user defined timeslot information, providing the ability to record in excess of 12months data. It has several unique features, making it especially suitable for applications in which the cost of exposure to out-of-specification environmental influences is very high. |

|
RD298 Special Filters - based on the RD298 and developed through close relationships with numerous customers in such industry sectors as Aerospace, Power Transformer and Railway carriers, the special filter versions have introduced a range of high frequency cut off filters ensuring only the relevant and potentially damaging information is recorded. These special filters are offered at 10Hz, 40Hz & 90Hz in comparison to the standard 250Hz. |

|
RD298EO - the enhanced options package for the RD298 ShockLog enables users to monitor tri-axial vibration as well as shock through the recording of g-rms. Additional alarming thresholds have been added allowing alarms to be driven by breaches of Temperature, Humidity and Pressure thresholds. To ensure users are able to maximise the right data to be recorded for their specific use we have introduced memory management tools and to ease the task of setting threshold levels an auto threshold incrementing system has been introduced. |

RD317 Micro - these units have been designed for ease of use, even by unskilled personnel, the Micro ShockLog contains several unique features that significantly reduce both purchase and usage costs. Its compact and lightweight design, combined with a battery life of up to 9 months, makes it ideally suited for routine monitoring. |

RD299 HPT is a combined humidity, pressure and temperature sensor for use with the RD298 ShockLog recorder. This versatile plug and play accessory extends the scope of the RD298, allowing it to monitor an extended range of environmental factors. Fully supported by the ShockLog software, it has been designed to function reliably in difficult environments.

RD400 single axis accelerometer connects directly into the RD298 ShockLog via an RS232 cable and provides the ability to monitor, on a single axis basis, specifically vulnerable areas of the product under test.

|
RD401 Remote Indicator System enables users to remotely communicate with and monitor the status of the RD298 ShockLog. The RD401 is particularly useful for companies where the monitoring device is enclosed either in the product itself or its packaging.

RD404 tilt and roll accelerometer extends the range of monitoring parameters on the RD298 ShockLog to include tilt and roll. Now, companies are not just able to monitor impact and vibration but also tilt and sway, so giving a complete picture of the physical environment that the product has endured through transit or in storage. With 360° tilt and roll outputs, the existing software has been modified so graphs will show the tilt (front to back) and roll (left to right) movement of the unit in degrees of movement. To ensure maximum resolution, the data is recorded in quadrants and displayed in a range of ± 90°. |

The ShockLog Windows-based software works with all ShockLog models and has been designed to make collating and reporting data an intuitive and easy process. Providing much more than the basic functions of configuring the equipment and extracting data, the software allows the data to be presented in user configurable reports from a single page mission report to the raw data itself for posttest analysis. To add to its versatility all reports can be exported to other applications, such as Microsoft Excel for further analysis.
Available in database format encompassing a query builder tool ensuring all collected data can be stored and retrieved easily with the ability to cross reference against previous journeys and other ShockLog units.
