Lamerholm Electronics, based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire has just acquired Jekyll Electronic Technology after two years of strong growth.
 
Lamerholm employs 15 people in the production of damage detection equipment for organisations ranging from NASA to the National Gallery. Jekyll, based in Berkshire, produces communication devices used by businesses to safely and remotely monitor the consumption of utilities such as electricity.  Lamerholm will add these products to its range and seek to grow the enlarged business through economies of scale and access to a common client base.

Ian Robinson, managing director at Lamerholm said: “After two years of strong performance at Lamerholm, we identified Jekyll and its complementary product range as a great opportunity for growth. We’re looking to develop Jekyll’s range of products in its own right and combine our expertise in the development of new devices. In doing so, we also anticipate recruiting staff to support this growth.”

Geoff Lawlor, director at Jekyll, who becomes Group Engineering Director said: “This is an exciting development for Jekyll, which looks forward to benefiting from the greater resources available to a larger group. The acquisition will allow us to provide customers with an extended range of products, capabilities and services whilst maintaining our high level of engineering excellence and support.”
